Henry began his broadcast career in the early 70’s when, after completing his studies in the UK, he worked for Marconi. He started initially with the TV studio division but later was involved in antenna and transmitter installations. This was followed by a stint of National Service in the Signals and Logistics Division. He then joined GEC-Marconi in Singapore where he was responsible for the sale and marketing of communications, broadcast and defence products. In 1982, Henry started CROW Broadcast Systems. The company, besides undertaking system work in the region, also represented a number of world-wide manufacturers, which included such legendary companies as RCA and AMPEX. In the early 90’s, IPK Broadcast purchased CROW enabling further development of systems sales. In 1998 Henry moved to ntl Broadcast (now Arquiva) as Managing Director for Asia Pacific and was responsible for setting up the new headquarters in Singapore as well as offices in Malaysia and Thailand.
